My Vision for Africa: One Connected Continent

My Vision for Africa: One Connected Continent

22 May 20264 min readBy Veri Global

When I think about the future of Africa, I don’t see fragments.I see connection.

Not broken markets. Not isolated opportunities. Not distant capitals and siloed potential.

I see one Pan-African investment ecosystem — transparent, accessible, efficient, and interoperable.

This isn’t a dream. It’s a clear roadmap.

At Veri, our vision is to create one truly African Continent platform that unifies capital markets across every jurisdiction, and here’s what that means in action:

1. Connect Every Exchange — by end of Q1 2026

We are integrating all 32 stock exchanges across Africa into a unified platform. Deep interoperability, harmonised access, and cross-border linkage for listed equities, ETFs, and trading instruments. This means true continental liquidity, not isolated pockets.

2. Expand Access Beyond Listed Markets — by end of Q2 2026

Two new trading environments:

  • Over-The-Counter (OTC) investment market with secondary market functionality

  • Private Placement (Capital Raise) environment with secondary market features

These additions go far beyond traditional exchange trading — giving investors access to non-listed and growth capital opportunities, and giving issuers access to deep cross-border capital flows, all within one governed infrastructure.

Once these environments are live, Veri will have connected every country on the African continent, offering access to:

  • Local investments

  • Cross-border opportunities

  • Global capital participation

  • All asset types — listed, non-listed, and private

3. Opening Africa to the World — Phase Three

Phase Three has already begun — with external markets. We’re actively promoting Africa as a destination for global capital, expanding access for investors worldwide to African opportunities. This isn’t about importing capital; it’s about creating infrastructure that attracts it sustainably.

This phase operates in collaboration with:

  • Regulators and central banks

  • Stock exchanges

  • Asset managers and pension funds

  • Private banks and financial advisers

  • Brokers and trust companies

Our goal is straightforward:Make African capital markets discoverable, investable, and trusted — for Africans and the world.

Why This Matters

Africa has everything it needs for economic transformation:

  • Ambition

  • Growing markets

  • Human capital

  • Emerging industries

What it hasn’t had — until now — is structural connectivity.

When markets speak to each other:

  • Liquidity improves

  • Capital flows freely

  • Risk is shared and priced efficiently

  • Local growth becomes globally investable

  • Investors get real choice

This is not just technology. This is economic infrastructure.

And it’s long overdue.

Question:What would change — for you, your community, or your country — if Africa’s capital markets were truly connected and globally accessible?
